Visiting a new church can be an intimidating experience.

We want to make sure you know what you can expect when you join us for a service at West Hills Church.

We have two “hours” of programs on Sunday mornings. The first hour begins at 9AM. During this time, we offer an equipping class that is open to all ages. This ministry serves two purposes: to teach and equip our congregation with Biblical truth in an informal classroom setting, and to provide an opportunity to build community through spending time with each other.

After the first hour, we take a 30-minute break. We offer coffee on the patio during this time. This is a great time to get to know someone or grab seats in the worship center.

Our worship service starts at 10:30AM. Our service is built on four main pillars: worship in the Word, worship in song, worship in fellowship, and worship in communion. This means that we will hear the Bible read and taught, we will sing songs that teach truth from the Bible, we will interact with each other and get to know each other, and we will partake at the Lord’s Table together. Children’s programs are available as well.

A typical Sunday morning worship service generally goes as follows:

  1. The music team will call the congregation to worship.

  2. The music team will lead worship through song, with a variety of eras and genres.

  3. A member of our staff will invite the congregation to participate in ministry opportunities including mid-week events, giving, and special events.

  4. A pastor or a member of our staff will dismiss the children that want to participate in our children’s program to their classes. He will then lead the congregation in the Lord’s Supper.

  5. Pastor Scott Julian, associate pastor Daniel Christensen, or a guest speaker will preach through a passage of the Bible (click here to listen to some of our recent sermon audio).

  6. Pastor Scott will close with a benediction, charge, and blessing.

We hope to see you this Sunday!
